PILOT FIRED FOR FACEBOOK RANT
Sunday Mirror, Aug 22, 2010 by NICK OWENS
A BRITISH Airways pilot who branded passengers “w*****s” in a foul-mouthed rant on Facebook has been sacked.
First officer Adam Corfield, 27, launched his tirade after standing in for cabin crew during union walkouts earlier this year.
He wrote how he’d come close to punching a business class “w****r” who came “marching into the galley shouting into my face he wants a coffee”.
Corfield said on his first trip as a steward “this f****r in business class nearly got it!! T**t!!!!!” He said he had little sympathy for the strikers, writing of their dispute: “F**k them… at least we’ll have jobs at the end of it!” A BA spokeman said that after a probe into rants posted on the social network site in June “an employee has been dismissed for gross misconduct”.
Corfield, of Warrington, Cheshire refused to comment yesterday

Now, to apply this to your thinking process:
Find your successes. Notice when you learn something new. Write it down even. Point out your problem-solving successes to yourself, and you’ll have more of them. When you are thinking clearly and effectively, tell yourself, “Look at that brain go!”
Telling yourself you are intelligent may help, but evidence is more convincing than affirmation. So if you are working to improve your mind, just watch, and you will find examples of progress, however large or small. Focus on these, and remember them. You can start doing this right now.
Steve Gillman has been studying brain improvement, concentration, creative problem solving, and related topics for years.

For many people, their car is their status symbol. This is especially true when the car is a Volvo. Given this information, it is important that when a part needs to be replaced that it be done so with authentic Volvo replacement parts and accessories. However, the cost of these parts can throw even the wealthiest of Volvo owners into sticker shock. Use these tips to locate the right parts for your car at a price you can live with.
While online, be sure to look over the websites of car part dealers. These websites offer the chance to see pictures and read user reviews of the parts you are contemplating. Online websites may also offer free shipping or deeply discounted price as well as delivering to you door.
Above all, have fun during your search for the part that you need, even if it’s only a fan belt. The item itself is not as important as the knowledge that you are giving your car what it deserves, the best parts you can afford.
If the dealer is out of your price range, there are many more avenues to pursue.

I have worked on-line using this “1930′s” computer ( his words) for years.
I did not have a clue on how to use this thing. So I made plenty of phone calls to my very patient brother. I was fast becoming a thorn in his side. I’m sure he asked himself more than once ‘why in the world did I give him this computer’. But I quickly began to pick up on how to operate my fasinating new “toy”.
I had the basics down. It was now time to get connected to the world. When I opened my first dial-up account I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. I was bothering everyone I knew with, ‘Are you on-line? You have to check out this site! Hey what’s your email address?’ I joined chat rooms and surfed around aimlessly.
